The Parent Report Center

The Parent Report Center in BrainNook shows parents an easy-to-understand snapshot of how their child is spending time in BrainNook, helping them understand their child's strengths and interests.

The Parent Report Center shows the following types of information:

  • How your child divided their time between Math and English games (the Summary tab)
  • Which games your child played most often, and scored the most points in (the Games Played tab)
  • Which topics your child practiced most often (the Topics Chart tab)

You can also filter the information displayed for greater clarity.

Login to the Parent Report Center

You log into the Parent Report Center by using your child's login and password.

The Summary tab shows you the number of times your child spent playing games in either Math or English, as a percentage of the total games played. In this case, the child has played Math and English games roughly the same number of times.

Each child's skill level goes from 1 to 15. This child is close to topping out their skill level.

The Games Played tab shows you which games your child played most often. You can sort the information in a number of interesting ways, for example to see which games your child scored the highest average points in.

This child scored well in simple addition (a Level 1 game), but relatively poorly in punctuation, which is more difficult (Level 5).

The Topics Chart tab shows you which topics your child practiced most often in BrainNook, indicating which areas they may find most interesting.

This child has played an eclectic mix of topics across the varied range available in BrainNook.

Parent Report Center Tab 3

You can filter the information displayed so that you see only information for Math, for example, or just English. You can also change the range of dates for which the information is displayed. In the image below, information is displayed for all Math games played during the month of August 2010.
